the Creative Quest

The classic answer is “Anything you want”, but honestly, anything you want.  Handmade books make wonderful gifts, journals, recipe books, idea books.

We make artist’s books.  That is, please don’t bring us your 200 year-old family bible that needs a new binding.  We make books from scratch, folded, sewn, glued.  Address books, journals, albums, recipe books, etc.  We alter old books or make new books from old ones.

Your basic kit is always a good idea.  Your basic kit should include scissors, a craft knife, a cutting mat, pencil, black inkpad, ruler (straight edge), double stick tape and/or glue stick.  You might also want to include a Japanese screw punch, an eyelet setter, box cutter, small pair of pliers, needles,  and a sewing cradle.
